A fixture in
old barber shops, barber stands were used to store the tools of
the trade. Scissors, combs and the like fit in the upper drawer,
while lower compartments separately held clean and dirty towels.
We modified the classic design by adding hinges that allow the doors
of the bottom compartment to open out like a desktop and by adding
a removable shelf. The antique original can be found in Tom Seelys
home, where it serves as a liquor cabinet. Handbuilt in Oak or Cherry.
