Armoires first
gained popularity in Europe where they helped homeowners thwart
the tax collector. Because several European countries taxed people
for each room in their house, tax collectors counted closets as
rooms. Today, armoires no longer thwart the taxman, but they do
help people who feel that there are never enough closets. Handbuilt in Oak or Cherry.
