Wood is a living material. It expands and contracts with changes in humidity and heat. Because of this, we still build real, raised panels—panels that are actually raised above their frame. We prefer using traditional joinery.
Our panels float inside of their frames, allowing for the natural expanding and contracting properties of wood. Such fine traditional craftsmanship also adds depth and texture to the furniture.
